Hello fellow filmmakers! Have you ever been to South Africa? If you have, you are probably a fan. Most people fall in love with the country and its people. I know I certainly did. I produced a number of shows for Discovery, Nat Geo, AP, and others in and around South Africa. But one personal project has always been nagging at my sole. I saw the role that music played in maintaining optimism in people with what could be called desperate circumstances by people looking from the outside. I want to capture that spirit in my feature documentary- Gumboot. I am not going the traditional route to get this made but rather am looking for a grassroots effort.
