Hi everyone, I'm new to stage32. I'm a magician, ventriloquiat , actor, comedian, puppet builder, voice impressionist , YouTube video producer . projects I'm working on is a pterodactyl puppet and my first attempt at stop motion animation. I enjoy writing scripts( haven't got them out there yet), coming up with new magic. Special effects as a hobby and making props . I have an associate degree in music and drama and 7 years in little theatre , where I acted and made personal props for a few plays..I.E..a golden mummy (handheld) , kings throne, sound effects for broken glass, floating envelope , blood and knife effects for murder mystery, Stage mgr for Harvey and lighting board. This is my current puppet project still in progress. Pterodactyl. Will have mechanics for flapping wings and moving beak.
Nice to meet you Brian. Pterodactyl looks pretty cool - the picture is a bit blurry - what materials did you use to make it? Is it molded?
Foam underneath. Cloth overlay. Cardboard for beak. Will have flapping wings and moving beak. Toes are plastic fork prongs. Eyes are ping pong balls. I cut the foam pattern for the head.
Got it! :) Very crafty. It would be nice to see something like that done. Unless it spans over days, maybe next time you could film yourself making one. I'm sure other puppeteers would appreciate it. :) Cheers. Keep at it, Brian.
Here's my hubpage of my instructional video I did of My pumpkin puppets mouth. http://hubpages.com/art/HOW-TO-BUILD-A-PUMPKIN-PUPPETS-MOVEABLE-MOUTH I took a view pics and short videos of my pterodactyl. I will make a photo slideshow of it. Not an instructional video per say. But I might add some voice overs with a how I did it.
Nice. Thanks Brian.
