Hello everybody,
I have started a crowdfunding compaign
http://www.gofundme.com/his-old-lady
Sadly the success is low. Please, can you be so nice to put a look on the compaign and tell me, which kind of mistakes I have made?
Thank you very, very much
Christian
You're asking for a lot of money. Is this for a short? A feature? How will the money be spent?
Also, you don't really give much reason why we should support the project. I gather that the car is important to you and the people you listed, but it doesn't really intrigue me to want to know more about it. Don't just tell people what your film is about. Tell them the why behind why you're making it and why we should be so inclined to help you.
And it's recommended that the first 30% comes from people you know. Unless you or someone that's part of your team has a large fanbase, you're going to have a difficult time getting strangers to support your project until they can see there is some traction to it. Crowdfunding has the mentality that if a lot of people like it, it must be good.
Check out seedandspark.com. They're a crowdfunding platform specifically for filmmakers and have a free course on what you should and shouldn't do for crowdfunding. GoFundMe is a strange platform to use for a film, but I guess you're able to keep your project up indefinitely, which can be a good and bad thing. Good luck!
