Introduce Yourself : Introducing Myself by Glenda Gardner-Jackson

Hello:

I am Glenda Jackson, I live in Bloomington, IL; I am a Christian Minister, Singer-Songwriter, widowed mother of 2 adult children and grandmother to 5 little ones. I'm also semi-retired working part-time in ministry to homeless and poor and part-time as a school crossing guard.

I'm not really sure if Stage32 is where I fit in, but I've been trying for several years to get my music pitched to the music and TV/Film Placement industries. It's been difficult because I've been writing music for a relatively short time (since 2009) and have not had a lot of confidence in my ability to pitch my works.

I have Reverbnation and Broadjam.com profiles with some of my music and also a few of my songs are on SoundCloud.

I'm not your traditional up and coming young artist looking to start a star-studded career in music; I am 64 years old and wrote my first song when I was 55 in 2009, and my dream is to share my music with the world through established Artists and TV/Film placement.

I have a diverse creative streak in me and have written a script for a children's tv or film placement, complete with a theme song; I also love to do voice over characters, as I can speak in many different types of (animated) character voices....have no formal training in any of my talents, just my God-given gifts.
