Hi Everyone,
I am developing a new crowd funding campaign for my feature film Twisted and I have been thinking about ways to make the campaign more successful than previous times. I want to reach people who are not in the industry to want to contribute to my film. In light of this I'm asking for some help.
Can you tell me what rewards you have offered in your campaign that were the most successful at being chosen? I'd like to compare what I have been offering to see if I need to make some changes.
Thanks for your help!
Hi Leanne. I'm about to launch a campaign as well and will be starting my own thread. So you can read mine as I read yours.
Personally, if I were going to donate to your film, it wouldn't be because of the perks. It would be because I want to help you get your film made, I want to see the film, and maybe I want acknowledgment in the form of a credit. But that's just me. I've been researching perks as well and see T-shirts, coasters, autographed posters, etc. all being offered. Dinner with the director. It's a lot of work for the filmmaker to produce and then ship these perks when really, they just want to make their movie! And I get that, because I'm a filmmaker. But maybe others don't.
So do the perks really matter?? There's a campaign in Vancouver where I live trying to raise money to save a heritage theatre. They've gone in to the community to collect 'gifts' from local companies, and so are giving away bikes, dinner coupons, coffee cards etc. as part of their perks. But imagine the workload to put all that together. Is it worth it in the end?
