Your Stage : A Celebrity Charity Staged Reading of A Counterfeit Priest by Paul Cross

Hi everyone. My name is Paul Cross. I am an actor/director/writer/producer. I am currently putting together a staged reading of a screenplay entitled, A Counterfeit Priest based on the novel by the same title. The staged reading will take place at the Colony Theatre in Burbank. http://www.colonytheatre.org/ The event will benefit the Best Friends Animal Society, who amongst other things, rescues dogs from the street and kill shelters and finds them forever homes. https://bestfriends.org/

However, in order for this event to be successful an actor(s) who will attract an audience is a prerequisite. It's a simple matter of no audience equals no money raised for the Best Friends Animal Society. So, therefore, I am seeking name actors to participate as well. If anyone has a contact to someone who fits the bill, please let me know.

There will be 21 actors will be onstage performing in the event. Actors between the ages of mid 30s thru 70s are also being sought, so please let me know if you are interested in participating in the reading.. A wonderful new composer is writing original soundtrack music for the reading and there will be a live choir as well. A wine & cheese reception will be held in the lobby of the theatre immediately following the performance.

Everyone connected with the event is doing so on a voluntary basis so that all the money raised can go to Best Friends. Tickets will be sold through Eventbrite.

At this time there is no set date for the event, as that will depend on the availability of celebrities.
