Well, This feels refreshing...

Hello all,

I just wanted to share that I was in a bit of a slump for a few weeks but I have stepped out over the past week finishing 2 shorts, starting 2 more and prepping for filming 1. Feels so good that writing feels so smooth and I feel refreshed.

Hope I can keep this going!

"I was in a bit of a slump"

"UN-SLUMPING YOURSELF" is a topic covered in Dr. Seuss' book (my all-time fav children's book) "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" The good doctor includes a prescription for un-slumping yourself. We all get in a slump now and then. That is normal. I added parentheses to offer examples of meaning.

Dr. Seuss' children's books are chock-full of meaning!

An excerpt from "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by the brilliant Dr. Seuss:

"I'm sorry to say so

but, sadly, it's true

that Bang-ups (illness)

and Hang-ups (loss of work)

can happen to you.

You can get all hung up

in a prickle-ly perch (not getting the outcome you'd hoped for).

And your gang (another writer seems to have so much success) will fly on.

You'll be left in a Lurch (chipping away at your dream).

You'll come down from the Lurch

with an unpleasant bump.

And the chances are, then,

that you'll be in a Slump (lack motivation and, or depression).

And when you're in a Slump,

you're not in for much fun.

Un-slumping yourself

is not easily done.

Read on to understand the un-slumping process!
