Never too late in life to follow your dream.
I've been writing since my teenage years (long ago) and discovered a local NorCal screenwriting class in 1999. Always been a huge fan of Harlan Ellison and his screenwriting (including his trials and tribulations). Devoured Syd Field, other screenwriting books, the Hero's Journey, etc... and followed up writing several screenplays. I entered my two best in a few competitions, making the final round every time (without winning, yet!). Decided to try my hand at novels and ended up with a complete five novel Sci-Fi series. Returning to screenwriting here in 2019, updating my old screenplays first and having a great time diving back in. Also just completed a screenplay adaptation of the first of my five novel Sci-Fi series. Happy to introduce this potential global blockbuster to anyone interested :-)
With retirement from the world of high-tech sales in the next year or two looming, looking to take my screenwriting to the next level as I focus on this full-time. Yeah, a bit bass-ackwards, but it's my story and I'm sticking to it.
maybe give it a try, I have been writing novels since 2001. Started my first screenplay year. It is almost complete. Good luck to you all.
All the best to you, Brad Blake and Kimberly Burks on your screenwriting journeys.
thank you, Phil Clarke.
