I''ve written several novels, and my publisher told me the best publicity for a novel is a movie version. So I adapted my novels to screenplays and have done so with several other self-published novels. I find writing screenplays to be very enjoyable, so I wrote a standalone screenplay. Most of my stuff is science fiction although I wrote an autobiographical novel about growing up in a New York slum. Adapting the latter to a screenplay is a slow painful process.
