Ghosts and Imaginary Friends - Voice of Wisdom

I'm writing a solo fleece road trip script. Some of the driving will be by motorcycle so I want to add an imaginary friend for travel conflicts and dialogue. Fight Club, Ghost, Castaway (Wilson!), Calvin & Hobbes... any other suggestions I can study?

Brian Shell

To be a ghost to our past ghosts.... and lay 'em to rest.

To learn to walk away and let go... to become Made Again.

Debbie Croysdale

@Brian COOL sayings above. Love the words “Made again.” The film Magic was a good example of a character imagining another character. Yes, they were not on a road trip but the ventriloquist and his dummy were a weirded out roller coaster ride.

Stephen Floyd

Sin City (Dwight and Jack’s corpse).

Brendan Thatcher

A Beautiful Mind and Gerry (Gus Van Sant film) are two that come to mind immediately.

Peter Roach

Maybe you should check out Che Guevara's The Motorcycle Diaries. Yes, that Che.

Debbie Croysdale Figures you'd like Made Again Deb... as it originates from the English prog rock band - Marillion - and their epic concept album titled Brave - Let go to become Made Again.

It inspired my first screenplay - a supernatural suspense drama.

Imo Wimana Chadband

Donnie Darko, one of my all time favorite films. Like Brendan said, A Beautiful Mind instantly popped into my head as well.

Chris Cox

Harvey with Jimmy Stewart

Brian Shell

Thanks y'all... appreciate the ideas and suggestions.

Good call Chris - Harvey the Rabbit.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Pete Whiting

drop dead fred

Call me crazy (because, I am)... but what about Arnold's Total Recall - the hidden oracle.

Horseshack - Ooh, ooh ooh... Mr Kotter... Mr. Kotter (hand raised next to Vinnie Barbarino) - Meet Joe Black

Craig D Griffiths

American Werewolf in London. Just have them turn up.

Debbie Croysdale

Hey@Brian Thanks for the info about the band Marillion, where phrase in this thread originated from. Listened to it on U Tube. Deep stuff. Bllew me away.
