Here's where I'm at: I have three feature scripts, one is currently in the contest circuit and doing well (one win so far) and I've read several books with great suggestions (favorite so far is Bob Saenz "That's not the way it works") and I'm getting ready to send out query letters to producers that have done similar projects to mine. I know that IMDB Pro subscription is a good way to get the information, but I'm curious if any screenwriters have ever put together a database list of producers with email addresses? If I can't find anything already put together, then I plan on creating a database and entering the information that I find. Years ago, I worked as a database designer programmer.
So like a saleable asset. Except, as soon as an email address got out in the wild it would be spammed. So they would change it and the list would be redundant.
I would get myself a CRM something cheap, if not free. That way you have a database, list of contacts, who knows who, what you have sent them, automated reminders etc.
Good luck. You sound like you are doing well.
Great Idea! Pitch it to Stage 32 and Pitchinvestorslive.com for funding.

I always target producers who have made films like whatever script I am sending out, so they are always different and specific to my script. One of the reasons why I think writers need to do their own searches. You learn about the companies and find places that fit your script... and can reference their films.
