Hello all, I don't know about y'all, but I'm using this quarantine time to network and write...write, and write some more! To introduce myself, I am an author/screenwriter. I love challenging myself; I recently decided to try my hand at a Sci-Fi TV Pilot script. Excited to announce it has been recognized in festivals in Atlanta, New York, and Las Vegas so far. I am a positive person and believe in making work fun. My goal is to find someone who will take me to the next level. More about me and my writing, check out my profile. In the meantime, stay safe and keep on inspiring others! Blessings, Lea Ann

Hey, Lea Ann! Nice to meet you! Man, you are a prolific writer! #GetItGirl

What?! You got your degree in Colorado, too?! I started in 2008, though. What brought you to Texas?

Oooo, I love SciFi tv! What would you say your series is similar to, if you could name three other SciFi series?

I may or may not have become a filmmaker because of the love of a SciFi series: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/introduce_yourself/How-I-Fell-In-Love-wit...

If you've already gained traction, then you should definitely find some executives to pitch your scripts to: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions Otherwise, I've found the Writer's Room to be a gold mine. Seriously, can't say enough good things about it.

Enjoy exploring!

Hi Lea Ann, It's a pleasure to e-meet you. Congratulations on your successes to date! I'm with you on trying a new genre. I normally write dark comedy and drama, but recently co-wrote a horror comedy short (on the fest circuit now) and a supernatural comedy feature -- super fun! For me, writing in a genre that isn't "mine" meant less pressure, and more freedom and fun. Did you find that too, or did you feel more pressure because the genre was less familiar to you? Look forward to seeing what you do next! Be safe, be well.

Hey Pamela, Nice to meet you as well! I find that when writing is fun, it tends to make amazing films!

I love working out of my comfort zone! I spent twenty-six years in a high-stress job, so it takes a lot to get me rattled. My goal is to have award winners in all genres. Keeps it exciting. I just finished a kids' animation TV Pilot script; we will see how it goes. Lol. Keep writing and stretching your boundaries! I wish you all the best on the festival circuit! Keep safe!

Hey Karen, Thank you for your kind words! My Sci-Fi, "Chicagoan," I would say, is a cross between The Mandalorian and Men in Black. I hope that it gets picked up or become part of the writing team. I graduated from UCCS in 2009. I can do it all from the crew to the producer. It's a pretty in-depth program. I moved back to Texas five years ago; it had more opportunities for my daughters. I will check out the writing room! I wish you the best in your writing endeavors! Stay Safe!

Blessings, Lea Ann
