Based on your experiences and opinions, is either book writing or scriptwriting more/easier in becoming successful?

Book writing is more flexible, plus it allows you a certain degree of leverage and creative control. Script writing is a stricter discipline and doesn't have much room for sentimentality if you're attached to the story or characters.
