Re-Introduction

Hey everyone! I hope that all of you had a relaxing and fun weekend. I've done an introduction before (2+ years ago), but here's another one. I'm a director+1st assistant director that does other production department work (Key PA, PA, etc.). Every once in a while, I work on other positions (editor, camera assistant, etc.) to learn all of the aspects of filmmaking. I used to do a lot of editing, but I've slowly transitioned to directing and production department work full-time. I mostly work on TV shows, music videos and feature/short films, but I also work on events, commercials, web series, etc. Some clientele, production companies, studios, etc. that I've worked with are: Netflix, ESPN, CBS, Comedy Central, Bleacher Report, A24, Little Monster Films (company behind "Free Solo"), Discovery Channel, etc. I graduated college at San Francisco State University 3 1/2 years ago (B.A. in cinema) and have been living in Los Angeles for 2 years now, having a life and career in SoCal (travel on occasion for work). Feel free to check out my Stage 32 profile. Cheers!

Hey, Ryan Cho (Cho)! Always good to see you, sir! Are you working on anything currently? What would you like to be working on?

Ooo, getting-to-know-you time - what are your top three guilty pleasure films/tv series? What would be your top three genres you'd like to direct?

Ryan Cho (Cho)

Hey Karen "Kay" Ross! Thanks for leaving a comment on this post. What I'm currently working on: Director, Videographer and Editor for a musician+drummer (1 person - 3 projects total). Working on 2 right now: 1. 4 drum covers, 2. Music Video (now in post-production). I'm also in pre-production for a new episode for a "Travel Channel" TV series (13th season), will most likely shoot it next week (300+ miles away from LA).

I'd like to continuously work on music videos (as a director) and big budget+prolific TV series/feature films (in the production department).

My top 3 guilty pleasure films+TV series (out of the top of my head/not thinking too much into it): You Don't Mess with the Zohan, This Is The End (hilarious/genius/etc.), Godzilla (Roland Emmerich), New Girl (has had some mixed reviews sometimes but the general audience love it), Supernatural (only still watching it to see how the final season wraps everything up) and American Horror Story (some seasons aren't great but the cast is always stellar).

Top 3 genres that I'd like to direct (hard to think of the order right now): 1. Drama, 2. Action (superhero), 3. Crime
