Working Hard on Finishing my first Feature Script

Hello everybody. I've been in this community for quite a while but I have to admit that (and I'm sorry to say this) this page's design made it difficult for me to navigate through the content. No pun intended, but I believe that content is so abundant that things should be "fool-Proof". Anyway, I'm going to stop being lazy and try to actually walk myself through the page to find what interests me most.

I am now in the process of completing my first feature script. I believe that I'm done with shorts and need to start playing in the big leagues. I've been trying to find script doctors who would help me review my script and see what avenues I missed and should have taken. It's always good to have extra eyes that see what we can't see. If anyone reads this and knows how to lead me the right way: THANK YOU, THANK YOU. In the meantime, I will keep on looking. I might even take an online course of script developing, so that I can review my skills and see what my script scores or misses. Anyway, I'll try to be more conversationalist here. Wish you all a great week.

Agatino.

Hello James, thank you for this prompt reply

I don't know how other screenwriters work, if there is only one unique way or anything goes depending on the writer's personality and style. I have written and directed 7 short films, and at least the last 5 I've realized that I start writing one story and end up making something very different, which is what is happening with my first feature. I started with an Idea, a story and what I wanted to talk about (what interests me to develop so that I can follow it to its conclusion). I ended up writing a 25-pages script, which is VERY short for a feature. I've been thinking about bringing someone with experience who can tell me what I am doing wrong (I know for example that my descriptions are not complete and I need to be clear de with full details). I need also to have an extra pair of eyes and a brain who can see what I did not develop, what needs to be enlarged, shortened, avoided, included. Sometimes, I think I like to be minimalistic, but sometimes we think we are one thing when we are really something else.

I told you all this because my story is changing drastically, so the 25-page script is something else completely and I need to develop it before I can start fixing it. crazy, isn't it?
