How do you know when your draft is ready for contest submission? After several drafts of my pilot and some feedback, I think it's ready to get out there and read by some professionals. As a writer, what is your course of action?
I recommend a table read. Get actors together on zoom, and just READ the whole thing through. It will throw up where the dialogue sucks, where the story is slow paced...

My suggestion - Delete all the dialogue and then see if you can follow the action. Film is a visual medium.
