Introduce Yourself : My introduction to Stage 32. by Andrea Secci

Andrea Secci

My introduction to Stage 32.

Hello everyone!

My name is Andrea Secci and I am based in London, UK. Originally, I am from Sardinia, Italy.

I am into screenwriting and directing. I wrote, directed and produced four short films. I worked on other filmmaking projects in various roles, from boom operator to cinematographer.

I am working my way up to get "my foot in the door" of the film and television industry.

Aside from filmmaking, I am a branding photographer for entrepreneurs and creatives on a freelance basis. I take photos as a hobby too; here is one I am particularly attached to, titled "Inner Child".

It is a pleasure to see so many nice people here and I hope we get to know each other better and who knows, maybe even work together one day.

Feel free to connect with me. I am new here and I would love to get advice on how to best use this platform.

Thank you!

Karen "Kay" Ross

Great to meet you, Andrea Secci, and welcome to the community! Awesome, congratulations on your short films and photography, that's fantastic! You've definitely come to the right place to continue moving up in your career. What are you hoping to do in the industry? Are you looking to move into cinematography? Are you hoping to direct a feature following your shorts?

I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32, so if you have any site navigation questions, feel free to ask. Since you're also a screenwriter, I would highly recommend adding your loglines to your profile so visiting members can more easily see what you are working on, leave feedback, and even inquire about your projects.

If you haven't already, definitely check out the Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing) and the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting) to meet more like-minded creatives!

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my blog post on how to get the most out of the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!
