Hi everyone.
My name is Adedayo or, 'Dayo'. I have let the butterflies die and taken the step to join a creative community. This community. My favorite writing genres are human centered science fiction thrillers and fantasy.
I entered a few pitch writing competitions years back and even won one, a movie pitch festival by the now very defunct PitchBull Studios, so defunct I need archive.org to find their past online footprint :-)
For too long, I neglected my writing for my work as a marketing executive working across Africa but
Stage32 rekindled my passion to tell stories through words and film.
You can say I am back.
Aspiring author and screenwriter. Here to learn and flourish.

Great to meet you, Adedayo Adefila, and welcome to the community! Ooo, you are in good company with your love of SciFi/Fantasy! Congratulations on winning the PitchFest! Is there a project you're pitching now? If so, definitely check out our Pitch Sessions - you can sign up here: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions
I was looking over your profile, but you don't have much there. Maybe you could use some of this post to help build up your bio! Feel free to reference my blog post on "Polishing Your Profile" to help guide you: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Shape-Up-Your-Calling-Card-The-Importance-o...
As an author, you'll enjoy meeting others in the Authoring Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting), and as a screenwriter, you'll enjoy meeting others in the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting).
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my blog post on how to get the most out of the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!
Thanks for the warm welcome 'Kay'' Your observations are very much on point and I appreciate the helpful input made. It's a great community with so many helpful resources. Thank you Karen "Kay" Ross
