Introduce Yourself : I finished my pilot (I think) by Kevin Cave

Hey everyone,

I was having a trawl through all the projects I'm working on (still just starting out and trying to find my voice) and came across the Pilot I wrote a couple of years ago.

I thought I'd look back on it, now that there's been some time since writing it, just to see if the dialogue works and if the jokes land like I thought/hoped they would. with an older head looking at it. Well to my surprise, they still made me laugh - I had to tweak a few bits here and there but I think I'm about 75% there with it.

However, since I'm as green as grass with this stuff I'm at a crossroads with what to do next. Do I submit it to writing competitions? Is there someone/somewhere in this community that I can/should show to validate the quality of it before doing anything else? (I'm from the UK and what I've written is very British so wonder if there is a particular avenue I need to go down in order to get it to someone who's more likely to understand it?) do I seek representation? are there steps I'm missing?

I suppose any advice I can get will make me eternally grateful. As I said I'm still very new to the scene and trying everything I can to learn the craft and understand what needs to be done in order to get to what I perceive to be a success
