Hi fellows, My name is Constantine Ganosis and I'm a young artists from Greece. I would like to know, if there's a kind soul in a producer's body who can helps me goes further with one of my projects. TV Networks in Greece don't pay at all or good enough. So if anyone want to give me a helping hand, I can only promise him/her $25.000 per episode once it'll get sold. It's a TV show, the main character based o two lives. My friend's John and mine's. It's a combination. Keep in mind that I prefer to have a long term collaboration.
That's a difficult one, I wish you luck in finding your funder.
Thank you Shadow Dragu-Mihai but unfortunately I do not have any producer or director. Unfortunately without money, I couldn’t be able to find anyone to follow my lead m
Hi Kostis, I am in Athens. Where are you in the project? Are you looking to write it or produce it or how?
Hi Christiane Lange , I'm the writer and I'll be one of the actors. So I need a producer and a director for moving forward
Constantine Ganosis OK, so you already have a script and you want to be part of the production. Have I got that right?
I get the impression that he's looking for someone with the money/talent/time to make his dream come true.
As everyone at my age Doug Nelson
But also, I write a TV series that I want to sell to a productioncompany Doug Nelson , it's enough for to geting paid by this. Not being treated as the Greek networks treat all the writers. Start to write and once we finished the production, we'll onna pay you. Once it for all, FYI, I write the last 10 years a Greek TV comedy and I get absolutely nothing by the episodes and their more than 600
Welcome to Stage 32 and good luck!
I work primarily with young people basically from 18 to about 30. I do it because I enjoy it and I want to help by giving them a realistic understanding of the reality of carving a career out of the film (tv) industry. I don't 'owe' it to 'em and I won't work with those who express that I must. It's all attitude.

You mean a comedy that is actually running on TV?

Hey Constantine Ganosis I'm a newbie in Production in Greece (also in Athens whoop whoooop!) and from what I've gathered so far on the job -and what these lovely people had to say in the comments- I wish to leave my input too: you don't need the money just to pitch your show, or the networking, that's the producers job! That's why you have to write your pilot (stage 32 has some amazing tips on pilot writing), and all things accompanying it (log line, etc --again, stage 32 community will give you many tips on that) and because rn in Greece -just like everywhere else- there is an "urgent" need for content, -but not that many people to write it- so some companies have open weeks (when you can send them your pilot & pitch) -- most recently Tanweer Greece received over 300 pilots and movie pitches. My advice would be to: 1) def continue with Stage 32, and you'll get good tips & "hacks" as well as networking, 2) get some feedback on your pilot and pitch (and your other work if you're OK w/ that) either here or just to others IRL, 3) finish your rewrites and ALWAYS keep an eye out for GRE &CY production companies' open days, if you wish to test the waters before they announce open days, next best thing is to look up gr producers and programme managers on LinkedIn, connect w them and bring them your full pitch, stressing out all other work you may have done, or accolades you have received about your work. I wish you the absolute best -- can't wait for young people to take over the Mediterranean, finally!

@Efrosini Al Yusef I agree, definitely a lot happening in the industry here, and things do seem to be shifting for the better. Even if it is a slow process.
We’ll, Efrosini. I need someone to follow my lead talking about cast. Because I create characters based on the acting abilities of every actor.
Geno - I have never endearing in any competition. Usually networks calling me or sending me emails through my lawyers for going further
Thanks. I was thinking of entering into festivals. But ill need money for that too.

Thanks for posting, Constantine Ganosis! I will give you the same advice that D4Darius would (look him up on YouTube) - if you can't afford to do this project right now, put it in your back pocket and write something you can shoot. People want to see evidence of what you can produce, so the only way to do that is to be constantly producing. Sitting on one script waiting for money is not the way. IF you decide to continue working on this one project alone, consider what other materials you could put together while looking for collaborators - a logline, a synopsis, character bios, potential casting choices, even mood boards - all to contribute to a pitch deck, which you will need if you are selling a series.
You've received a lot of really great advice here, but nothing will be as important as this one: stop thinking that money will create your project. People create your project. Do what you can with the people in your life, and start meeting new people along the way. The more you can give to those potential collaborators, the more they give back to you. Keep at it, and keep us posted on your progress!
