@Maurice & Amman, I have a multipersonality disorder, according to my ex-wife. But, she no longer counts, so, I'm a Filmmaker. That's the answer to the "riddle". Thank you for your answers!
"I bought a Canon T3i. One of the 'dumbest' cameras you can buy for videog... let alone Cinematog. Now I've got to improvise. What can I do now to add value... to what appears on screen." - TRUE LINES
@Amman, I have that camera, but I use it for photos, more than anything. Back in time, I saw some people do amazing things with this camera. There were hacks to make T3i a decent camera for HD shorts or proof of concepts. I think that even a few were able to make features with it because of that. Of course this was at the edge of 4k being available, coming out to the market. You can probably find the shorts made with it in YouTube, for knowledge sake.
@Amman, I wonder why that random post about the T3i. That camera is ancient history to film, unless you give it to a kid to learn how to film on a DSLR.
J. Edward Betancourt The answer to your question, in a word (actually link) is this: https://www.stage32.com/blog/3084. By the way, you are right on both counts. You mentioned HD shorts (Does it have HD? LOL) and also proof of concepts. It's perfect for POC. Just shot 2 minutes on it and the footage shows the concept in question is A-OK!
I wanted to use a low key camera T3i to deal with a high concept. In the beginning of cinema, the concepts were 'low' but the equipment was 'higher' i.e. the camera preceded all film making concepts.
