How well do you think a live action series would do with original musical numbers sprinkled throughout? I've seen it work in animation and wondered what it would be like in a live action series.
Original Fantasy series, Original song and dance.
Think Lord of the Rings/Star wars (not as serious).

"Crazy Ex Girlfriend" has done that.

I think a live-action series with original musical numbers would be entertaining to watch, but it might be hard to get it done as a first project (or second or third) because of the budget. Maybe save it for later on as your big project, Connor Griffiths.

"Galavant" tried that, lasted one season. "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" lasted two seasons.

Galavant - 18 episodes (22min) Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist - 26 episodes (44 min) Crazy Ex Girlfriend - 62 episodes (44 min) - Tough to do, but not impossible. How many songwriters are going to be in on the project? Going to want to have more than one.

You have to have the right songwriting partners backing up the project for originals to work. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend worked because Rachel Bloom already had a substantial social following and she was collaborating with Adam Schlesinger (RIP).
I love the idea!!

I think I'd make it a heartfelt film about a father and daughter instead... maybe one song.... minimum!
