Hi Kevin, the best way to connect with agents through Stage 32 is through our Script Services. We offer several different ways to connect with and work with executives. You can check out the Script Services page here, and send an email to success@stage32.com if you'd like more information on any of our services or the execs we work with: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices
Talent agencies are not connected to film companies in that one is an extension of another.
Agencies have relationships & contacts at production companies & studios (and some agencies represent producers and production companies). They are connected that way.
Agencies & agents are not allowed to produce per their franchise agreements with the various talent unions. Agents have a fiduciary obligation to their clients, and it is considered a conflict of interest to represent a client as an agent and be a producer (which would make an agent both an employee of the client and an employer).
In recent years, agencies created production affiliates (CAA had Wiip, and WME, where I work, had Endeavor Content, for example). However, after a skirmish with the WGA, and a potential anti-trust law suit, agencies had to divest themselves of these affiliates.
Conversely, managers and management companies can produce, and they have production companies. So, if you were looking for representation that also produced, you'd want a manager. Not all management companies wear both hats however, so you'd have to do your research.
