When I first tried to write a script from my stories, I thought I could do it just by typing. Didn't work.
Today, I wanted to find out which characters I have in which scenes. Click. Instantly, I had that report for the script. With line counts. I'm using free software - Trelby.
With that report, I realized that there are three characters who need more lines and I need to merge two scenes , and do and a few more things to get the script ready to use.

I do the same thing sometimes, Terri Morgan (check the cast report and see which characters need more lines). I use Final Draft 12. I don't think I've used the scene report to see which scenes need to be merged. I might try it out. Thanks for the idea.

Same report Maurice Vaughan It showed up in two scenes with the same characters that follow each other. I cut part of one for time and didn't realize it didn't make sense to shift to another scene for the remaining few lines until I looked at the report.

The reports definitely come in handy, Terri Morgan. I didn't used to use them. And there's so much about Final Draft 12 I still haven't used yet.
