Hey everyone! I took a break from writing my 2nd “Solar Knights” saga to write my “Danny Phantom” live action film, the plan is to stay true to the source material while Still adding new details regarding the main female villain, it’s crazy how there hasn’t been a live action film at all, Im currently on page 60. and I binged the show last month and again this month, I grew up in the 90s and I know everyone will be satisfied with the story, if you wanna see the title, logline, and plot, check it out on my profile in my loglines!
Congratulations on getting to page 60, Sylvester Fryson Jr! What's your plan for the script? Use it as a writing sample?
Maurice Vaughan I'm gonna protect it through the WGA, then enter it in film screenplay competitions, hopefully it'll get selected, because this movie needs to happen.

Since your script is based on an existing show, you won't be able to register it with the WGA or U.S. Copyright Office, Sylvester Fryson Jr. And some contests (maybe most) won't accept scripts that are based on existing shows and movies.
Maurice Vaughan Well since One Piece and Avatar: The Last Airbender are being made with Netflix now, I know anything is possible

Yeah, but the company behind those shows (I'm guessing Netflix) bought the rights to make them, Sylvester Fryson Jr. You'd need to buy the rights for "Danny Phantom" in order to pitch your script or make it. Otherwise, you'll only be able to use your script as a writing sample. There's the fan fiction option too, but I don’t know a lot about fan fiction.
