Just looking for some advice. Are there any UK based writers using the S32 Writers Room? I was a member during the pandemic but part of my reasoning for leaving was that many of the live events are at unsociable/impossible hours for me to attend.
Just wondering if anything has changed to allow me to get more value out of it.
Or, are there alternatives for UK/Europe time zones?

I run a writing group on YouTube. Free to attend. We meet tonight at 7PM Central.

I have the same issue, but I stay a member to access OWAs. Although I have to admit this is more of a 'monitoring' situation, as I'm not convinced the OWAs lead to anything.

The OWAs do sound interesting, I just don't think I'd be getting full value and have limited budget. Good to hear others opinions though

Hey, Adam Harper. The Writers' Room has incredible all-day AMAs now.

John Clive Carter - What makes you think the OWA's don't lead to anything?

Hi Adam Harper! Great question! We have lots of members and execs based out of the UK who are members of the Writers' Room, and many do attend the live webcasts - for accountability, I would recommend checking out the Writers' Cafes, which are throughout the week at different times (Martha C posts the times in the Writers' Room Lounge at the start of the week) BUT ALSO, those times are often dictated by member availability. So the more people speak up and are interested at different hours and are maybe even interested in hosting (since Martha hasn't always hosted them all) the more variability there can be. ALSO ALSO - there is TONS of stuff in the Writers' Room that isn't tied to being live on a webcast -- all the Wednesday Webcasts are available on demand, any members can submit to the OWAs, the Writers' Toolkit drive is open to all members 24/7, and that private lounge is open 24/7 for networking as well. And there are regular conversations in there checking in on each other to ensure that you're holding yourself accountable to your writing goals..I don't know if you're submitting to the OWAs, or have, but there are so many cool conversations happening between writers selected and the pros who request those scripts, it has me so excited for our members, it's my favorite way for members to get their work in front of active, awesome industry execs -- this response is too long for a lounge chat hahaha but I wanted to make sure I covered as much as possible since there's so much good stuff. If you have more questions though, you can always shoot me an email at success@stage32.com :)

At the very least, Adam Harper the site is a great place to network and meet other writers out here in the wild. Lots of great folks on the site at all the various stages of careers and with lots of experience / stories to share!

Richard Buzzell I haven't seen people being optioned/discovered/produced through them. There could be plenty but I'm not aware.

Just last week a producer at BCDF reached out about the rights to two scripts and is currently in talks with our team so hopefully we'll have a new option to brag about soon :) Not to mention another writer landed a meeting with Mischief Entertainment - let's remember that this entire business is built on relationships and the best ones are not instantaneous :)
That's great, Emily J! Hope the two writers get options and congratulations to the other writer on landing a meeting!
John Clive Carter - I think your impression of the OWA's is probably accurate. In another thread I asked for a response from anyone who has obtained a meeting through an OWA. Only one response so far. It's hard to build relationships when no-one will talk to you.
