Triage of the Dead: Surviving the First 12 Hours

Logline:

Trapped in a hospital during the first 12 hours of a zombie outbreak, a resourceful nurse must navigate blood-soaked corridors, evade infected patients, and outwit desperate survivors—all while racing against the clock to escape before the building is annihilated by the National Guard.

Synopsis:

When Nurse Evelyn Carter clocks in for another routine shift, she doesn’t expect the chaos that unfolds. A strange illness spreads through the hospital, patients succumb to violent seizures, and soon the infected begin attacking anyone in sight. As the outbreak intensifies, the hospital becomes a labyrinth of terror, filled with ravenous zombies and panicked survivors willing to do anything to live.

Determined to survive, Evelyn uses her medical knowledge and quick thinking to evade danger, tending to the injured while fighting her own fears. Along the way, she encounters allies—a terrified intern, a security guard on the brink of collapse, and a mother searching for her child. Together, they attempt to navigate the hospital’s increasingly deadly floors, seeking refuge and a way out.

Their ordeal takes a darker turn when Evelyn learns the National Guard has been ordered to "sanitize" the hospital by destroying it. As the countdown to annihilation ticks away, Evelyn must reach the loading dock, the last point of potential escape, before it's too late. Battling relentless zombies, dwindling supplies, and the harsh realization that not everyone can be saved, she faces impossible choices that challenge her compassion and will to survive.

The first 12 hours of the outbreak are a harrowing test of Evelyn’s resilience, ending with a daring escape as the hospital erupts into flames—marking the start of a world forever changed.
