Hi, everyone. My name is Luis Davila and I'm starting out as a screenwriter and is currently sending out pitches and awaiting replies. I also received interest from someone who wanted to represent me as a lawyer/fascinator for connecting me with other creative people to work on a screenplay that I sent to him. That was very exciting and I did do some due diligence and have seen that this person has been connected to various projects and has even had connected me to people who recommend him highly.
However, I am having a hard time getting started with him since I have to sign a NDA and pay a fee to him to get the process started and I am currently in between jobs at the moment. This is unpleasant as I want to be excited about finally having someone who wants to work with me on my ideas but I can't get started yet.
I am looking forward to meeting new people and becoming a part of a tribe of creatively minded people but I am a shy person and often feel hesitant to connect with others. I am interested in hearing from all of you, even with that issue in my life. Thanks and good luck with all of your creative pursuits.
