My name is Phil Savage, I'm an unproduced screenwriter who is very close to getting my first project off the ground. It's a feature thriller called "5 STAR RESORT"". I really need a business producer along with investors, a director and possibly an agent. I'm looking for financing to sign an A-actor who likes the script and role. I actually have 13 LOI's, the budget is 9M.
I also have another thriller called "Blind Mules" to be produced along with a baseball drama that's based on a true story.
5 Star Resort and Blind Mules sound interesting from the titles, Phil Savage. What are they about?

Hi Maurice, I have loglines if that's ok?

5 STAR RESORT - A family vacation at a tropical resort turns into a fight for survival for 248 innocent tourists who are being held captive for ransom by 50 well armed terrorists.
BLIND MULES - An international drug smuggling cartel from Cancun finds a new way to smuggle drugs into the US through unsuspecting tourists luggage. Unfortunately for them, they picked the wrong tourist as this girls dad is ex US military special forces.

Pretty good. Suggestion for possessives: tourists' and girl's.
How about: ...picked the wrong woman [girl if young], the daughter of a former US military [what? SEAL, Ranger, Green Beret etc.].

Have you checked out the Stage 32's job board page? It's great place to find jobs but also post jobs. I'd also suggest posting on the acting lounge where others can see the opportunity!

Hi, Phil Savage. Emma Smith wrote a blog you might be interested in (today’s blog). It’s called “Unlocking the Secrets of Film Grants: The Ultimate Guide Every Filmmaker Needs!” (www.stage32.com/blog/unlocking-the-secrets-of-film-grants-the-ultimate-g...).
Stage 32 also has other Financing blogs (www.stage32.com/blog/tags/financing-85).

Hi Phil. You'll need allies to help you. Search for producers and production companies seeking scripts that they can become your project champions. Join the Writers' Room on Stage 32 and find opportunities there. Create pitch decks you can use during Zoom pitch sessions with those connected people. Generally, it's about relationships that you make along the way. After 45 years in the television production business, I have friends that go back 40 years I can count on. The turtle wins the race over the hare in this business.. Good luck and never give up.

Hi Sylvia, If you are a Mets fan, one of my players from this team ended up playing for the Mets, Josh Edgin, a RP. 4 of the players wore a MLB uniform and 2 won the World Series. It's amazing how so many people make excurses (give reasons) to NOT make a film.

Yes, I’ve been watching the Mets play baseball since I was eight years old. Josh Edgin was a pitcher on the Mets in 2012. He isn’t in the MLB anymore as far as I know. I hope Soto gets out of his slump. My favorite players now are Alonso and Lindor. I hope to collaborate with you and have you on my podcast.
