Hey all!
I'm Cecile George from Port of Spain, Trinidad.
I freelance within Trinidad's culture and heritage industry, so I write scripts generally based in the country's culture, folklore and heritage. I'm also the producer/writer/editor/narrator of a historical podcast called "Growing Up Woodbrook", about my childhood neighbourhood's many contributions to the country.
I'm currently shopping a feature called "After 12" that was a quarterfinalist at the 2023 Nicholl Fellowships and is in the top 5% of discoverable scripts on Coverfly. Seeking a European co-producer to help bring it to screens.
And I just had an absolute blast at the 2025 Stowe Producer Lab in VT, making great contacts and friendships!

Hey Cecile George! Love that you're bringing Trinidad's stories to life and a huge congrats on "After 12"'s success with the Nicholl Fellowship. What's drawing you to a European co-producer? Becasue at Stage 32 we have a wonderful roster of EU/UK based producers and managers!

Welcome Cecile. I love Trini culture, especially the food. Some of the best in all of the Caribbean, in my book. Much like New Orleans, which is where my family is from, there's lots of cultural inspiration there. Welcome!

Thanks guys! Sorry it's taken so long to get back on here. Those two weeks away left me with a bunch of catching up to do when I got back home!.
This year, I'm planning to finish two feature scripts - one is a supernatural horror and the other a 1940s period piece. They're both in (very) early treatment stage, so lots of work to be done on them. Need to rediscover my writing plan and stick to it for these next 6 months!
And yes, Brandy, our food is fabulous. Glad you enjoy it so much!
