Screenwriting : Happy, Positive, Fulfilling Monday by Ryan Wilford

Happy, Positive, Fulfilling Monday

I didn’t have a major question on my mind today—just felt the nudge to post. I think it’s important to keep showing up, engaging, networking, and being seen. So here I am.

How’s your Monday going?

What are some challenges you're currently facing as an artist—both internal (within yourself) and external (within your current project)?

I’ll go first:

Internal:

Honestly, I’m in a great place mentally as an artist right now. I’m learning to trust the process—even without the numbers, the big network, or the financial backing. I’m moving forward without needing proof or validation, because we are the proof. The worth starts with us. And I believe there are things aligning in the background we can't yet see—so just showing up, believing in yourself, and taking intentional action is key.

External:

I’m in the formatting stage of my screenplay, and truthfully, I’m enjoying the process. I know the pace may pick up soon and things might get more challenging, but for now—I’m soaking it in and loving the work.

Let’s share and support each other.

Happy Monday Creative Family!

Hey, Ryan Wilford. Happy, Positive, Fulfilling Monday. Glad to hear you're in a great place mentally as an artist! Congratulations! And congratulations on the process with your screenplay! The challenge I'm facing right now is rewriting a script. Just trying to figure out some things.

Hi Ryan! What a wonderfully positive post!! Happy Monday to you!

I, too, am enjoying the process in whatever form it takes at any given time. Currently that being adapting my latest work for stage - and filtering out the scammers. Though being a New Yorker I can pretty well spot them quick enough.

I'm happy to have found this community and I look forward to expanding my connections and learning what there is to learn and supporting my fellow creatives!!

Have a creative week!

Maurice Vaughan Thank you! That can be challenging for sure. During my rewrite, I wanted to ensure I wasn't losing the essence of the story. I initially started with my action lines, then worked on the dialogue. Good luck!

Christina Hammer I love this! Wherever the journey takes us is key, trusting in our journeys while doing the work. Good luck, that's a great place to be in! Have a creative, inspiring week!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Ryan Wilford. Thanks. I figured out those things. What you did sounds like what I do when I rewrite a script. I rewrite in categories. A Story, B Story, Subplot(s), character arc(s), etc. It's easier for me than rewriting the entire script at all.

Sam Rivera

HI Ryan Wilford Thank you for sharing! My week has been going well and appreciate you adding you internal status, I think it's very important to monitor how our internal status can either help or hurt our external output! Glad to hear that you are doing well on both sides of the coin!

reel short - style scripts needed. We are starting a streaming project where these type of scripts/episodic movies are a major part. We will be paying for the scripts and probably offeing residuals. Please watch a few free episodes at reel short so you know what we are looking for. Filming starts bewfore the first of the year.

I like that breakdown as well Maurice Vaughan // Sam Rivera Thank you for sharing! glad your week has been going well. I agree! It's definitely important to know what's going on inside, it connects to how we show up. // Rodney Merten Thanks for sharing!
