Hi everyone - I work with Stage 32's Certification program that's training below the line crew all over the US and the world. It's so exciting to see film and TV production burgeoning in all corners of the globe, emerging markets building production hubs and nurturing new artists to share their stories, and the tradiitonal big markets competing to support filmmakers far and wide. I love stories and when we share our stories with each other the world is a better place.
I've been producing and creating pretty much my whole life. My mom put me in a PBS special a friend of hers was making as an extra when I was 2 years old and I never looked back. I've had the honor or working with amazing people in the industry, which is always the best part. I'm a 2-time Emmy nominated producer of 20 TV series, countless commercials, several digital shorts and half a dozen movies, including an independent feature I produced and co-directed just a few weeks ago in June (thank goodness the other director is super talented). I love making things. I love people who make things. I love the Stage 32 community and the non stop creative energy that emenates here from everyone around the world.
I'd love to know what you're all working on. Are you writing? Filming? Developing? Dreaming? Please share. Excited to hear from you.

Hi, Sam Sokolow. Hope you're doing great! Congratulations on producing and co-directing the indie feature! I'm finishing up a ghostwriting job, rewriting a feature script, and outlining a feature script.

Hey Sam Sokolow, what an amazing IYW, and after reading, I just want to say that I love your filmmaking passion and what drives you in. Congratulations on your recent production and co-direction; can't wait to see it. I just released my first directorial debut with The Misstep, and now I feel I need some days off because it has been intensive. I am now crafting the festival strategy for The Misstep and in August, I will be back to polish my Soul Mate feature. Big hug, my friend. Happy to see you.

Sandra Isabel Correia - SO COOL!! And so proud of you. I cannot wait to see Misstep. Bravo!
And, yes - a little rest after production is always recommended :)
Way to go, my friend!

Sam Sokolow hi Sam, it’s Friday, it’s been a very busy week and my head is drooping and wants to find the local sandman!
I’m still working on Seeing Rachel. Of late, I’ve been working with our Stage 32 friend Eon C Rambally for a series of conceptual video ads for the film. Also two more scripts; a story about Alzheimer’s and a science-fiction limited series, based on quantum physics and the holographic universe (loving it)!
Tomorrow I will release some conceptual art for my animated series, Gulag Earth. I found Finnuala O’Higgins, when I posted a job for a concept artist, on Stage 32. There must be a link somewhere, between this community and finding talented people, don’t you think?!

Hey Sam Sokolow - always good to see you here and thanks so much for all you do. Right now, I'm working on putting together the elements (budget, moodboard, shot list) for my short story, "Homeless". I'm really enjoying learning that side of things as I go. Some of my friends here on Stage 32 have been invaluable in encouraging me along the way. We'll see what happens.

Hi Sam, it's a pleasure to meet you and read about your journey. I'm a filmmaker and award-winning screenwriter, and investigative journalist in NYC, working on a true story documentary film about two missing girls who lived in the same house in Queens, NY, and disappeared a year apart in 1999 and 2000. It's a bizarre story with many thought-provoking layers, twists and turns. I'm also working on a men's mental health and domestic violence short film, and my first feature called Dream Chaser. I started volunteering on film sets when I was in 9th grade, I've always had the passion for film. I used to sit between my parents when I was little, watching movies. I always told them that I will make my own films one day. I enjoy storytelling and use my vision and voice as a tool to enact change and drive positive social change. Excited to hear what you are working on!
