Is there a better example of plot and character merging than "The Greatest Showman"?
Take the title song: “It’s everything you ever want, it’s everything you ever need, and it’s standing right in front of you—this is the greatest show” which is the major theme in the film.
In the opening sequence, the protagonist dreams of applause and fame; by the end, he realizes that watching his daughter perform is actually the greatest show.
I unabashedly love this film, and I'm not even a fan of musicals..
