If it doesn't get picked up by anyone, then I'm going to figure out a way to make this film on my own. Any suggestions on how to do this? I'm also posting this comment on the financing lounge. Love you all, thanks!!!
Hi, Salustiano Berrios. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your other post from the Screenwriting Lounge to the Producing Lounge since it's about producing.
I also moved your post from the Financing/Crowdfunding Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge since you posted the same thing in the Screenwriting Lounge. Stage 32 doesn't want members posting the same thing in different main Lounges on the same day because it can clog up the Lounges and other members’ posts won’t be seen.
If you want to put a post in two main Lounges on the same day, change one of the posts significantly. Or you can put one post in a Lounge one day and put the same post in another Lounge on a different day.
I understand, Salustiano Berrios. There's a description under the title in each Lounge that'll tell you what goes in that Lounge. And if you're still not sure or you ever have questions about Stage 32, let me or another Lounge Moderator know. We have badges on our pictures. Or you could email support@stage32.com.
I tried the blacklist, and honestly, it's overpriced for what it offers. inkTip, this site, and Script Revolution are better and cheaper alternatives. I've heard good things about ScriptHop, so I would try those as well.
Hello Salustiano Berrios! Asking how to make an indie movie nowadays is kind of like asking how to build a car that also bakes homemade bread and teaches karate. Not entirely impossible, but getting there will make everyone you know think you're insane. And, you kind of have to be. I'll hop over to the financing lounge to offer some real advice.
I feel your pain Salustiano Berrios. That's why I'm deciding between a realistic or graphic novel style animated web series on YouTube - to attract attention from the industry to get my series sold.
If I could afford actors, sets, and a full crew that would be my preference. But, that would also mean weeks, maybe months of fundraising to be able to afford that.
Instead, I am creating images for my show in Midjourney and animating and voicing them in VEO3.
It's the fastest way to get a series up quickly and start promoting within a month or so.
Michael Fitzer, Mfa Ha! I get it. Hey, check out my logline. And perhaps the first page of my script. It's like nothing you have ever read before, guaranteed...maybe you would like to help me make this movie!!!
I tried for MANY years to get my script picked up. Although it won multiple awards and fantastic kudos, I couldn't get any co-production partners. I went to 5 AFMs, attended film festivals, and studied production. Stage 32 has been such a boon with all the courses and and pitching opportunities. I learned step by step the components of making a good pitch deck and set about to fulfill the requirements. What a learning!
Well, after much discouragement and determination, out of the blue I got a call from a producer who had seen much of what I had put together. We are now in co-production with an offer out to a director.
And...I wait. I am asking someone to take 3 years out of their life to make this mid- budget movie. I understand their team is excited but still, I wait.
And on and on it goes...
And Heaven only knows...
The lessons we'll discover
We'll become the cosmic lover
Of eternity unbounded,
I'm really quite dumfounded.
Still...On and on it goes.... (think of this as a soft-shoe)
I'm a believer in making your films when the time is right - there is nothing harder, more rewarding or better every time I do it. The Stage 32 Certification program has courses that can support you and your crew at a professional level. Email me separartely at Certification@Stage32.com and let's start a conversation about production.

Hey Salustiano Berrios - there are some great producing classes on the production track in education. You can check them out here: https://www.stage32.com/education/collections/producing-track.
