Nitin Choudhary India is becoming an increasingly important market. It recently surpassed China as the world’s most populous country, with about 1.43 billion people. That is just insane—more than four times the population of the United States. It’s an enormous market with strong local demand.
Are you looking at filmmaking with a focus primarily on India, or global markets as well? The film Hotel Mumbai, while produced largely in India, did receive a limited U.S. release. Although its box office numbers weren’t the highest, it was widely regarded as successful in delivering strong tension and atmosphere.
Dev Patel has a strong audience base across India, Britain, and the U.S. He could be very versatile for something like a prestige TV series I recently completed. He often can excel as a “fish out of water” protagonist who finds himself stumbling into dangerous circumstances.

While the story has its roots in local elements, I want it to connect with an international audience as well, because the themes are universal.My vision is to create something that can resonate both with Indian viewers and with audience around the world.
