I’m Alicia McClendon, and I’m a screenwriter, filmmaker, and actor. My brand is strong, flawed women.
I’m in development of a psychological thriller feature film that raises awareness of fibromyalgia (chronic widespread inflammation of the body) and mental health.
I suffer from the debilitating illness, and it has really affected my mental health.
It’s not just to raise awareness, but it’s in the PoV of a chronically and mentally unwell woman who is thrown into a murder mystery. So it is meant to entertain too.
Also, I hope to inspire those who are chronically ill or suffer from mental health issues to keep living and keep fighting.

Fibro is a viral illness. Get tested for the 19 common viruses. Then get on some antivirals. They will lower the so-called "killed' virus levels. My own experience.

Hi Alicia McClendon - honored to meet you and glad that you're working on this cause. I battle fibro as well and totally get the constant war that goes on in the body. Hang in there and keep doing what you're doing. There's joy in fighting back in this way and it's good medicine.
