There's a film called Ollie, created by Antoine Besse, a Frenchman. Here's a synopsis I wrote for you:

In the soft light of a farm in the Dordogne,

Pierre, a thirteen-year-old boy, carries the weight of a screaming silence,

The sudden death of his mother has shot through his springtime.

He leaves his memories, his familiar footsteps,

To live with a gloomy father, busy taming the earth, the machine, time.

At school, the world roars: laughter that hurts, looks that exclude.

Pierre withdraws, searches for himself, rears up—

Skateboarding becomes a lifeline, a breath full of momentum, vertigo, and freedom.

And then there's Bertrand, an antisocial whose gaze avoids the past,

A former skateboarder whose boards slept in the shadow of a tragedy.

Bertrand is a broken shard, still burning with what he once was,

And when he reaches out to Pierre, it's a fragile promise of support.

Between two days of harvesting, in the cool of early morning,

They learn the rhythm of pebbles, ramps, swerves, falls.

Pierre slides, falls, gets up,

And each Ollie (skateboard jump) becomes a metaphor: rising despite gravity, pushing through pain, being reborn.

But not everything is skateboarding:

The world around us weighs on us—the farm, the debts, the loneliness, the gaze of others.

Invisible wounds mingle with the red dust of the earth, the tired gestures of adults. And yet, friendship and passion slip through like a light, a crack through which hope can enter.

Ollie is an embrace of silence, a descent before the rise, an ode to those who fall only to rise again.

It's a very beautiful film, I highly recommend it.
