Tis the season... for hobgoblins, ghosts and seances, that is. It's October!
Overnight, shortly after the witching hour, my short script (story by Lesley Lillywhite) HALLOWEEN IN JAVELINA CROSSING received its second selection of the day. The Broomdance International Film Festival (in Salem, Massachusetts, no less) announced they had selected the script to be part of this year's festival. Earlier in the day, the 13Horrors.com Film and Screenwriting competition announced the script's Finalist status.
The script follows a group of cosplayers on Halloween conducting a fake seance, but inadvertently arousing the spirit of an prostitute from the old west. The ghost then proceeds to explain that all the electronic gizmos we regularly use for daily life mess with the composition of spirits in the afterlife. And when a person passes into the great beyond, it could get complicated.
We really want to film this short. If you know anyone feeling the season sufficiently as to contribute to a short film production, well, we would love to hear from them!

You can promote your script in your introduction post, but you need to introduce/reintroduce yourself to the community. You could check out other posts in the Introduce Yourself Lounge to get ideas for your introduction post. Let me know if you have any questions.
