For eleven seasons, The Walking Dead redefined television, giving us unforgettable characters, brutal emotional arcs, and world-class practical effects. Now, fans have a chance to own a piece of that legacy, with more than 1,000 lots of on-screen props, hero costumes, vehicles, weapons, and prosthetics available through Heritage Auctions.
Among the standout pieces:
• Daryl Dixon’s hero crossbow (Seasons 1–3)
• Rick Grimes’ Sheriff hat and .357 Magnum (Season 1)
• Michonne’s katana and sheath (Season 3)
• Negan’s barbed-wire bat, “Lucille” (Seasons 6–10)
• Daryl’s Custom Triumph Bonneville chopper (Seasons 1–4)
As Greg Nicotero said, “These aren’t just props and costumes, they’re touchstones of a show that redefined modern television.”
It’s amazing to think how much power an iconic prop or costume can hold, not just as a collectible, but as a piece of storytelling history.
So here’s my question for you:
If you could get your hands on any iconic prop or wardrobe piece from your favorite film, show, or character, what would it be and why does it resonate with you?

I would want Fox Mulder's nameplate. That was my favorite show, never missed a Friday night. Named my first cat "Spooky" Mulder. Who lived to 19. I even met Chris Carter when I was working as an extra for a show on Amazon (I don't think it came to be.) He loved that I named my cat and even took pictures of my cat from my phone. Nerded out :)

The Talkboy from Home Alone 2, Ashley Renee Smith. I had one growing up. I loved recording things on it! It made me feel like I was in the movie.

Star Wars lightsaber. I love the movies and the idea of the "Force". No matter where you came from or started from doesn't determine how you will end up. You are in control of your destiny only.

Ashley Renee Smith Deckard’s blaster-gun! Or Steve McQueen’s Mustang from Bullitt. Yeah, the Mustang wins I think…

Maurice Vaughan That’s such a good pick! The Talkboy was one of those movie props that instantly became a pop culture icon. It’s amazing how something so simple could make you feel like you were part of the adventure. I wanted one so badly!

Alexandra Stevens both so whimsical and full of movie magic! The Mary Poppins umbrella would be amazing to have, especially with its little parrot handle. And the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car? That’s pure nostalgia! I get Truly Scrumptious randomly stuck in my head all the time.

Love that, Wendy Kay! Is there a particular lightsaber that you would want? Luke’s? Obi’s? Anakin’s?

Hands down, absolutely to die for the white satin coat lined with orange-gold sequins and matching sequined dress (reverse cowl neck) designed by Ray Aghayan for Doris Day in 'Do Not Disturb'. ANY wardrobe Audrey Hepburn wore, actually any womens wardrobe designed by Edith Head....she was genius!

Excellent choices, Geoff Hall, both absolute legends! Deckard’s blaster is one of the coolest sci-fi props ever made, but that Mustang is cinematic history on wheels. There’s something timeless about it.

That is a hard question to answer. All are cool, but I would take Luke's lightsaber. He represents coming from a place of nowhere to living out his wildest dreams and succeeding!

For me, it would have to be the "three sword" from "The Sword and the Sorcerer". 80's high fantasy camp at it's best!

Those are some seriously iconic choices, Jermar Jerome Smith! Each one of those pieces represents such a distinct moment in film and pop culture, especially those glasses. Personally, I would LOVE a Charlie Conway jersey from the original Mighty Ducks.
