If You Have A SPOOKY CUP? What’s In It ?

To all those heavily favorable to this month of fear, fright, and TERROR. I felt why not indulge in topic to some of horror’s echelon and favorites. But not from a stance of course just our love for them. More from questioning inconsistencies and realities that many of us either didn’t catch or never drove on.

For example John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ in which I feel is the indisputable greatest horror movie ever made. A question I firmly believe concerning is that Macready is in fact The Thing in the end and the alien is more than what we actually know concerning once it takes you over.

Or 1988’s incomparable slasher which catapulted a doll to an icon. Child’s Play. In which I also question, especially pertaining to both following sequels revolving around Chucky’s pursuit to transition. I don’t believe the spell he was under could be reversed. Once entering the doll there was no way exiting and the blood production culminating to his murder spree to gain his goal was in fact hinting that to him. Not a sign of him becoming more human.

Last is Halloween. Now this one can rattle feathers. I personally don’t like the original too much, it’s slow and doesn’t stand the test of time from a modern sense. Contrast to the sequel that to me defines the franchise significantly to perfection. The battle between the two emerges this separation of many admiring Carpenter creating this Michael to be an immovable force that is beyond evil. While his associates Akkad and Hill upon the sequel crafted Myers to realism in which I myself prefer tying him and the Laurie character of a result stemming from fratricide. What do you all think?

Also what horror films inconsistencies and possibilities always yearn inside of you to ask and question upon watching you would pose and touch on. Don’t wait, this space is for horror lovers only.

"I don’t believe the spell he was under could be reversed. Once entering the doll there was no way exiting and the blood production culminating to his murder spree to gain his goal was in fact hinting that to him. Not a sign of him becoming more human." I never thought about that, but you could be right. And if I remember correctly, it took Chucky so long to perform the spell. It made it really hard for him to switch into someone else's body.

One of the characters who got killed in Friday the 13th (1980) was hung on a door. I think it was a guy. Mrs. Voorhees wasn't strong enough to lift the character and put him on the door.

Remember in Child’s Play 2, he did it on Andy successfully and nothing happened.

I gotta go back to that first Friday.

Oh ok, Jermar Jerome Smith. I don't remember that. It's been a long time since I've seen Child's Play 2 though. I need to rewatch it. Maybe a double feature. Part 1 and 2.

I’m a ‘Child’s Play’ trilogy fan and will be til I go. Every other Chucky film afterwards I can’t stamp.
