Your Stage : Just a blurb by Cameron Casperin

Just a blurb

Hi everyone, I’m currently developing an original animated series titled Trial & Error.

Logline:

A long forgotten cosmic destroyer awakens in the modern world and seeks out the girl he betrayed six thousand years ago. Trying to pass as a normal high-school senior, he hopes to rebuild what he ruined, but angels and demons, terrified he’s preparing for another war, close in fast. Forced to confront their shared past while navigating everyday life, the two stumble toward a future neither of them believed they deserved… quietly redefining what it means to be the devil.

Trial & Error is a genre-bending action-comedy with the heart of a tragedy, blending mythic fantasy, slice-of-life storytelling, and character-driven humor. It follows former “villains” angels, demons, and a long-forgotten cosmic destroyer, who are so exhausted by being the bad guys that they’re done with destiny and just want to live normal lives… whatever that means for beings like them.

Tonally, the project sits in a space similar to Adult Swim originals: grounded, character-first storytelling with high-concept worldbuilding, emotional weight, and absurd contrasts between the mundane and the cosmic. It balances comedy and spectacle with a strong emotional throughline about redemption, found family, and growing up when the world refuses to let you move on.

Trial & Error is currently submitted to the 2025 Script Pipeline Pitch Contest. I’m actively seeking representation, development opportunities, and industry connections, and I’m always happy to network with writers, artists, producers, and creatives who gravitate toward animated, genre-driven, or creator-owned work.

Thanks for taking a look! excited to connect.

Hi, Cameron Casperin. Welcome to the community. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Animation Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because it’s promotion. Promotion can go in the Your Stage Lounge and on Your Wall.

You can put promotion in a discipline Lounge (Animation Lounge, Producing Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful or educational to the community, like giving advice or asking a question.

You can also put promotion in one of the discipline Lounges if you're asking for feedback.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world. www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...

Stage 32's next Community Open House is Dec 29th (www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-s-december-community-open-ho...). It's free to attend. It'll also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros. Even if you can’t make it to the Open House, sign up and you’ll get the recording in your Stage 32 Education Library when it’s available.

I suggest using a photo of yourself as your profile picture. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. You can upload a picture by clicking the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu, then clicking the red button underneath your location and choosing "Update profile picture."

Reach out to the Success Team at success@stage32.com. Geoff and his team can help you connect with reps, producers, executives, and more.

You could post your script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

You're welcome, Cameron Casperin. I emailed Stage 32 about it.

Hi, Cameron Casperin. Try to update your profile picture again when you get a chance.

Cameron Casperin

still nothing. may have to just delete and try again, as long as that doesnt carry some penalty.

Maurice Vaughan

That's fine, Cameron Casperin. If that doesn't work, let me know.
