Me at the back aged 10, the year I began to think of my life in terms of a story — more decades ago than I care to contemplate. I've done a lot of writing since then but none for the film/tv world. Then, out of the blue, I wrote a story that I could tell was made for screen rather than to be read in the pages of a book.
So now it's a screenplay — well, an early draft of one — and I've been using this community (alongside a few other places) to educate myself about the process of pitching a series to producers.
The enthusiasm and positivity of RB, Stage 32's founder, is infectious, and it seems to rub off on everyone else because I don't come across anywhere near as much cynicism as can found elsewhere.
If you're introducing yourself for the first time, Welcome! I'm sure you will find it a good place to hang out.

Beautifully said. That moment when a story reveals its true form — when you realize it wants to be seen rather than read — is unforgettable. It sounds like you listened to that instinct at exactly the right time.
I completely agree about the tone of this community. The enthusiasm here feels earned, not naïve, and it makes learning a new form feel possible rather than intimidating. Wishing you clarity and momentum as you continue shaping the series.

As a life-long Beatle-maniac, that photo speaks to me of who was cropped out of those school boy photos of Lennon & McCartney. Sigh.
