On Writing : Where Are You in the Writing Process Right Now? by Kat Spencer

Hi, Kat Spencer. I'm rewriting a feature script, writing a short script, and outlining a feature script. The feature I'm rewriting is my main project.

Some time back, I started a more-or-less page one rewrite of my first novel - a young readers book - and I'm just about 2/3 done with that.

I’m rewriting my feature script and working on my tv pilots.

Great question Kat. I have a Regency romance short story that I should try to script before my scifi idea.

I just finished a page one rewrite of a drama. Earlier this year, from Jan to June, I write a fan adaption of a childhood action game. I contacted the creator who's acually looking to update the game and I thought I had a brilliant transmedia front. However, the creator didn't want to go with my take, but I thought of a plan to rework the script and make it my own IP.

2026 looks to be the year of reworking my own scripts... to start!

Finished and packaged. Pilot is done, seasons are complete, and I’m now focused on getting it in front of the right producers/directors/reps.

I partnered with a real good co writer . love where I'm at

Pilot , 4 seasons , 10 page and 67 page show bible , the co writer was the final part .

I'm stalled on my novel and debating on whether it would do better as a screenplay. This novel is harrowing to write. I'm thinking script might give me a needed layer of separation.

gut instinct . you think maybe screenplay do it . see how it feels .

@Jay I would normally agree. But I just can't seem to settle my gut on it. Very much still on the fence.

Iv done it twice . I just set down one and start the other . don't like it go back . no harm done but it will stay on your mind .
