Hi everyone — I’m an research scientist by day and a writer by habit. I spend my professional life studying old stars and dead galaxies, and I tend to write stories that live at the intersection of personal choice and historical pressure.
I’m drawn to character-first drama, quiet sci-fi, political and historical fiction, and myth-inflected stories that explore power, memory, and moral cost without leaning on spectacle. I’m here to learn, connect, and develop work that takes its time and trusts the audience.

Hi Tabassum Tanvir, welcome to Stage 32! I’m Ashley, Head of Community here, and I’m really glad you shared this introduction.
I love the contrast between your day job studying old stars and dead galaxies and the kinds of stories you’re drawn to: quiet sci-fi, character-first drama, and myth-inflected narratives that trust the audience. That blend feels like fertile ground for some really powerful storytelling.
You might enjoy spending time in the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), where a lot of writers are digging into exactly the kind of thoughtful, process-driven work you’re describing. If you’re interested in developing pages alongside other writers, the Writers’ Room can also be a great fit, and there’s a free month available if you want to explore it without pressure: https://www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip.
Since you mentioned you’re here to learn and develop work, our Education Team is also a wonderful resource. You can email them at (Edu@Stage32.com) and let them know what you’re writing and what you want to grow in; they’ll point you toward the most relevant classes, labs, or webinars from our 3,000+ hours of education. And when you’re ready to think about next steps, positioning, or connections, the Success Team (Success@Stage32.com) can help with curated guidance and industry-facing resources.
Really glad you’re here, Tabassum. I hope you’ll keep sharing your perspective with us in the lounges!

Welcome, Tabassum! I love space exploration, galaxies and quantum physics, but more as a form of poetry and mysticism than the mathematics. Regards!
