My first short film as a producer

Hi everyone,

I’m Lucas, a film student and aspiring producer, and I wanted to share the first short film I’ve produced.

This project means a lot to me. It was a real learning experience from start to finish, and I was involved creatively beyond producing, as I also composed the music.

As a young filmmaker, I'm constantly looking to learn more, and improve my work, so I would truly appreciate any feedback, thoughts, or advice you’re willing to share, whether it’s about producing, or the film as a whole. Honest perspectives really help me move forward.

You're welcome, Lucas Donnat. I just watched My Muse. Incredible job on it! Unique concept! The film is shot really well! I like the opening shot! I don't think I've seen that shot in a movie before. It's not easy telling a story without dialogue, but you pulled it off.

I've seen way too many short films that were bad, and this one is not one of them! Lucas, as a producer you delivered as did the rest of the talent and crew. The pacing was spot on. I never felt there was a shot that was lingering too long thinking "it's time for another cut." What you guys did, with what you had is solid. Now go make another 10 to keep learning and growing!
