My 2026 New Year's resolution is to produce a feature film titled "Chinook." I have a budget of $600K, a local producer helping refine it, locations secured, and a key native actor attached to the project, with two additional producers on standby if I can secure funding. I'm also working with a local representative of the Chinook tribe as a consultant. I've heavily pitched it to S32 and received writing reviews to ensure the script is as polished as possible while still maintaining its independent feel. In 2001, my writing partner and I were greenlit for Chinook, but after 9/11, we lost the producer due to that day's events. We put it on hold for a while, and recently, I’ve dedicated myself to making this independent film. Any suggestions or questions are greatly appreciated. Stay creative, my friends. Hugh

Hi, Hugh G Potter. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Producing Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge since you made the same post in the Financing/Crowdfunding Lounge.
Stage 32 doesn't want members posting the same thing in a discipline Lounge on the same day because it can clog up the Lounge and other members’ posts won’t be seen. If you want to put a post in two discipline Lounges on the same day, change one of the posts significantly. Or you can put one post in a Lounge one day and put the same post in another Lounge on a different day.
Let me know if you have any questions.

That’s an inspiring commitment, Hugh. It sounds like you’ve built a strong foundation around Chinook, from the team and locations to cultural consultation. I hope this time it finally gets the chance it deserves. Wishing you the best of luck as you move toward funding and production.
