One of my goals for this year is to focus on and increase my networking activities.
Last year, I volunteered a lot and participated in a lot of online meetups.
This year, I honestly don’t have a solid plan.
What should I do?

That's a great goal, Anthony McBride. I'm rooting for you to reach it! Stage 32 has free in-person Meetups (www.stage32.com/meetups). You might meet producers, directors, execs, managers, and others you can network with. If you don't see a Meetup in your area, keep an eye on the Meetups page. And you could start your own Meetup.

Have you thought of hosting monthly S32 meetups in your city? I have several connections from doing that.

I don't think you can have a plan for networking. It's like you can't have a plan to make more friends. All you can do is show up and be yourself.
That said, I think the biggest mistake writers make is networking almost exclusively with other writers.

Went to 2 networking events and asked some actors to be in a Vertical short (we finished day 2). Taking the step to network is so important and following through on giving new actors a chance. And them giving me a chance. Networking is just the first step!

Yes Lawrence Stern I am talking in person meetups in your own city. There is always an opportunity for that. Just create one. I hosted one in Phoenix for three years.
