Something I keep relearning as an author:
Forcing productivity almost always backfires. (at least for me)
Some of my best writing has come from slowing down first—creating space, quiet, or even doing nothing for a bit—then letting the work arrive naturally instead of chasing it.
Would love to hear: do you write better under pressure, or when you feel calm and grounded?

calm
I write better when I'm calm, Kat Spencer. And when I'm having fun.

I definitely prefer to write when I’m calm… but I’ve noticed it’s not when I’m most productive ^^; it’s why I like to write at work even though it’s full of external distractions, I get a lot more done when I can’t relax ^^;

I write under all emotions of the rainbow! Sometimes, it's the best fuel!

I need to write, no matter what. Creativity can numb bad feelings, & also act as a psychological escape route. Equally, writing can truly elevate, an already good day. Quote:- The pen is mightier than the sword.
