Writing is not my professional job. My income and personal life are not dependent on writing. I have always written because I enjoy it, without the stress of earning money, being successful, or promoting myself. After realizing that I have enough job security from my primary profession, I decided to spend more time writing. I truly enjoy it, but I have come to understand how extremely difficult this profession is. It seems to offer little job security or stable income, at least during the early years, and now I am truly amazed by how dedicated writers are.

Thanks, Shamila Habibi. You're right. Screenwriting is extremely difficult. I didn't know that when I became a screenwriter. It's something every new screenwriter should know. Not to discourage them, but so they know what to expect.
