Hello Stage 32 community,
My name is Le’Roy Kester — I’m a writer and actor currently developing my feature sci-fi thriller The Venetian Man.
Over the past year the screenplay has been gaining momentum on the festival circuit, earning multiple international laurels (attached). Seeing the story resonate with juries across different countries has been incredibly motivating as I continue pushing the project toward production.
The Venetian Man is a contained, high-concept psychological sci-fi thriller centered on a rogue clone trapped inside a controlled, looping version of Venice. As fragments of his past iterations begin to surface, he uncovers a hidden system manipulating his reality — forcing him into a deadly race to break the cycle before both he and the woman he’s fighting to protect are erased.
The project is designed in the lane of contained genre films such as Upgrade, Source Code, and Enemy, while also laying the foundation for a broader world with franchise potential.
I’m currently exploring conversations with producers, financiers, and collaborators interested in elevated, performance-driven sci-fi thrillers.
